Produced from estate grown Lemberger, this wine spent 18 months in French Oak barrels to concentrate the fruit flavors of blueberry and the spicy pepper notes.
Winemaker's Notes: The fruit for this wine was fermented in open top fermenters for 18 days before pressing. The wine was blended and laid to rest in a mix of subtle French oak barrels for 18 months. The minimal manipulation of this wine allowed it to express its varietal character. The strong aromatics of blueberry reduction and cracked black pepper make for an exciting food pairing with wild game or lamb dishes.

This one of my favorite Michigan red's. It is a perfect medium-bodied wine that can pair well with food or a nice cozy fireplace ;)

This wine is very good. I tasted it at the winery in October. I think it will be even better in about 2 years when the tannins get softer. I look forward to it!

Hard to believe this is a Michigan red wine. It tastes like something you’d expect to drink in CA. Beautiful deenruby color. Fruity bouquet. Hints of oak and vanilla with peppery finish. Easy drinker.
